Description	SpectraPave 2 assists with the design of Tensar geosynthetic subgrade improvement and base course reinforcement for both flexible pavements and unpaved roads. It incorporates four modules including a Project Information module. The Subgrade Improvement Cost Analysis module provides cost comparisons between an unreinforced subbase and a subbase reinforced with Tensar BX Geogrids. Comparative cross-sections indicating required fill are also generated. Output includes unit cost, unit savings, project cost, and project savings. The Base Course Reinforcement module features serviceability analysis and design applications for both unreinforced and reinforced pavement sections. Unreinforced alternatives are based on the AASHTO-93 Flexible Pavement Design Method; reinforced alternatives use Traffic Benefit Ratio (TBR) methodologies. Variables used include layer thickness, cost, and intended service life. The Subgrade Improvement module incorporates the performance-based Giroud-Han Design Methodology. The software indicates the required thickness for an unreinforced subbase and for a subbase reinforced with Tensar BX Geogrids.
