Description	CartaLinx is a Spatial Data Builder for dedicated digitising, database development and topological editing. It is intended as a companion to a variety of popular Geographic Information System and Desktop Mapping software products such as IDRISI, Arc/Info, ArcView, MapInfo etc. Main features: digitally encode geographic data from existing map sheets using any of over 300 digitising tablets; digitise geographic information using any NMEA interface-compliant Global Positioning System (GPS); on-screen digitise from image data such as satellite images, digital photographs or scanned aerial photographs; digitise positions based on Co-ordinate Geometry (COGO) bearing and distance specifications; facilitate field data collection (such as ground truth information) using image and map data in conjunction with the real-time GPS interface and integrated way point facility; build and edit attribute data for geographic features using integrated Microsoft Access-compatible relational database engine; perform full reference system conversions including map projection and geodetic datum transformations; export data to other GIS and Desktop Mapping software products using a variety of file formats, such as ArcView Shape, Arc/Info GEN, MapInfo MIF, and IDRISI vector format; extract subsets of coverages based on attributes (filter) or spatial location (clip).
