Description	The CD-ROM of Groundwater Modelling, contains over 500 megabytes of public-domain groundwater modelling, geochemical, graphical, and related software. The CD-ROM also includes a software package called CDVIEW to help users explore the contents of the CD-ROM and install selected files on their computer's hard disk. CDVIEW is a DOS program that will also run under Windows and includes on-line context-sensitive help. The CD-ROM of Groundwater Modelling includes publicly available software and data obtained from the USGS, U.S. EPA, and Internet anonymous ftp (file transfer protocol) sites. The following is a summary of the contents of the CD-ROM: Most of the software distributed by the USGS NWIS, including source code for many USGS models. All of the software distributed at no charge by the U.S. EPA's Center for Subsurface Modelling Support (CSMoS), including RITZ, CHEMFLO, BIOPLUME II, MOFAT, etc. Software from numerous Internet ftp sites, including several USGS computers including the Geological Information Visualisation (GIV) software, the U.S. EPA's Center for Exposure Assessment Modelling (CEAM) including the FEMWATER and PRZM2 codes, selected public software from the Computer-Oriented Geological Society (COGS), and geostatistical and geochemical software for Windows from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. Demonstration versions of selected commercial software, including ESI's WinFlow model, Consolve's SiteView visualisation software, and Geraghty & Miller's ModelCad and AQTESOLV software. The CD-ROM of Groundwater Modelling is a convenient way to evaluate hundreds of software packages related to groundwater modelling and geochemistry.
