Description Penetradar GPR ColorPro software displays acquired raw radar data in a colorized and gray-scale format, showing signal amplitude as color bands versus signal transit time and distance traveled. The amplitude of the signal determines the color or intensity displayed, and with the amplitude settings, signal gain, DC offset and sensitivity time control, the color threshold voltage range can be varied using either a linear or exponential color mapping mode. The software operates in three different color modes: a 16-color display, a 256-color display or 256-level gray scale display. The color bands are related to the depth of a layer. It can be used for identifying subsurface anomalies or disturbances within or beneath the surface and for measuring layer thickness. The radar data are referenced relative to time and distance scales and it is possible to scroll continuously in either direction through the data file, auto-align with respect to the surface echo while concurrently displaying the original radar waveform. The user can mark subsurface layers with a mouse. To enhance the layer marking accuracy, a tracking algorithm is applied to user markings which pinpoints the exact interface layer. Layer thickness can then be computed based upon the time delays between different layers and the dielectric constant of each respective layer of material. Once pavement layers are marked and thickness is processed, the user can obtain the depth measurement at any point on the plot. The user can calibrate calculated thickness measurements by using core sample or ground truth thickness information. A set of predefined symbols are also available that allow the user to annotate and mark significant observations on the plot. All screen displays can be converted to Windows bitmap files for additional graphic processing.
