| Description | TUNREN is a design tool for tunnel design, including two modules: 1) Tunnel face behavior: new stress-strain analytical method for the evaluation of extrusion displacements and of the tunnel face stability with or without reinforcement by longitudinal bolts or a face confining pressure (when using a TBM). A "phi-c reduction" calculation makes it possible to evaluate a safety factor with respect to the tunnel face stability. 2) Lateral support: convergence/confinement method. It applies the classical AFTES methods, taking into account different support types such as concrete, arches or bolts. The program is available in both English and French.
