Description	PC ARC/INFO is a series of six integrated software modules that combine basic GIS tools and utilities for cartographic design and query, data entry and editing, raster and vector data translation, polygon overlay and buffering, and network analysis and modelling. PC STARTER KIT is the core module that includes tools for digitising and map creation, structuring topological data, creating attribute tables, plotting maps, developing custom applications and user interfaces, and communicating with host computers. PC ARCPLOT incorporates graphic screen display of geographic data and high-quality cartographic output, as well as functions for spatial database query and analysis. PC ARCEDIT takes advantage of feature-based editing and allows for simultaneous manipulation and editing of both graphic map data and tabular attribute features. PC DATA CONVERSION includes tools for data transfer between ARC/INFO coverages and a number of other standard geographic data formats. PC OVERLAY provides capabilities for geographic information manipulation including polygon overlay, line and point-in-polygon overlay, buffer creation. PC NETWORK offers functions for network analysis and address geocoding. Direction, location/allocation, cost of movement, speed limits, direction, and other features can be stored as attributes for each line in the network.
