Description | GeoLink is an instrumental GIS designed to solve a wide range of problems including hydrogeological, cartographic, referential, statistical, environmental monitoring. Its capabilities allow the user to: create and manage cartographic databases; maintain standard plan sets; build arbitrary plans using various projections (including Rectangular projection); work with geographical and metric object coordinates; edit map legend; exchange geographic and attributive data with other GIS in different formats eg MOSS, MIF/MID, DXF/DBF; work with several maps simultaneously; print all maps built; edit and input geographic objects using digitizer; digitize raster objects; analyse the quality of input information: check self-crossing of object segments, correct objects with wrong contour direction; maintain topological links between geographic objects within the entire database (not only for a single layer); work with spatially distributed data, automatically build isolines and equal level zones for these data, import them to geographic database; manage and analyse attributive database; customize map design - legend areas, various insets; create thematic maps using attributive database analysis tools and legend editor; extend software functionality by adding new specialized applications. The software supports all contemporary printers and digitizers (via WINTAB API). A fully-functional demo version is available for free on www. |
