Description | GDSK Spatial is a spatial extender for Microsoft SQL Server RDBMS composed of a multi-user geographical database, an ISO SQL/MM programming interface and the GDSK ICM (Internet Communication Manager) package to manage communication/balancing gateways and messages with portal/application services and external services. It provides tools to store, analyze and catalog complex geospatial data, a simplified schema for business data integration with ERP/CRM systems and administration procedures for portal parameterization. It implements the OGC and ISO standards, models and recommendations, such as GML or WMS, and runs over industry standard web and RDBMS servers. Main characteristics are: ST spatial functions under SQL/MM standard and DE-9IM, Dimensionally Extended 9 Intersection Model. Multiple terabyte databases. Spatial Indexing for boosted performance. Globalization features. 64 bit scalability. No programming needed. Load balancing for large GIS communities. Metadata and parameterization storage. |
