Description | Visage is a Finite Element system for geotechnics and rock mechanics. It is a modular system including static, dynamic, potential and eigenvalue modules. Features: Steady-state stress analyses. Transient stress analyses for consolidation and creep. Dynamic analyses. Thermal/fluid-flow analyses both transient and steady-state (single and two-phase). Eigenvalue analyses. Seepage analyses. Gravity forces. Prescribed displacements, forces and pressures. Flow rates and potentials. Excavation and backfilling in mining operations. Dam construction phases. Boundary Conditions: Constant stress. Constant fluxes. Viscous and unified viscous boundaries. Wide Range of Constitutive Models: Elastic and elasto-plastic. Mohr-Coulomb and Von-Mises. Tresca. Drucker-Prager. Hoek and Brown. Critical State. Jointed rock. Multi-Laminate. Visco-elastic behaviour for creep; Coupled; solid-fluid behaviour. Strain softening/hardening. 3-phase stress-dependent modelling. In reservoir engineering the System is linked to FRONTSIM and ECLIPSE via GRIDSIM to provide a tool for stress dependent reservoir modelling solutions. The FEMGEN pre-processor allows flexible model generation and material definition. FEMVIEW provides a range of visualisation techniques and results display algorithms. Different load cases can be viewed and combined. |
