Description | MODOFC (MODflow Optimal Flow Control) is a FORTRAN computer program which determines optimal pumping solutions for groundwater flow control problems. It couples the USGS MODFLOW simulation program with an internal implementation of the simplex algorithm. The code can accommodate linear pumping costs, well installation costs, bounds on head and head difference, bounds on individual and net well pumping rates and bounds on total number of wells. MODFLOW features that can be accommodated include three-dimensional heterogeneous aquifers, confined or unconfined units, wells screened in single or multiple layers and single or multiple stress periods. |
